Her Art/Their Art 2024 Call for Submissions

The experience of identifying, living, and navigating society as a woman or non-binary femme in America is a multifaceted journey. This show serves as a powerful medium to illustrate and celebrate these artists as they bring together family, careers, activism, and artistic passions.

We are seeking submissions that:

  • reflect resilience, accomplishments, and/or ongoing pursuit of artistic fulfillment amidst the intricacies of family, careers, activism, and identity.

  • explore Identity involving an exploration and understanding of gender in relation to societal expectations and norms.

This show is a platform for empowerment for the the selected artists and a place for the viewers to gain a deeper appreciation for the diverse narratives within our society and to foster a more inclusive future.

Presented by InterUrban ArtHouse in partnership with the UMKC Women’s Center as part of the ongoing Her Art/Their Art Project. Co-curated by Natasha Ria El-Scari, Women’s Center Director and owner of the Natasha Ria Art Gallery
