Arts Impact in KC Metro

In July 2012,  ArtsKC and Americans for the Arts released the Impact of the Arts in the KC Metro data. This info was gathered from two reports, Arts & Economic Prosperity IV and the Local Arts Index.

The infographic below was designed by InterUrban ArtHouse assistant director Nick Carswell for ArtsKC, in order to show some of the great economic impact of the arts in arts spending, participation, arts activity, cultural tourism and taxes.

The individual reports can be downloaded from our online resource page here. They are an important validation of the impact of the arts, a useful advocacy and fundraising tool that show how the arts non-profit sector creates economic and cultural vibrancy. The Arts Mean Business!
