JCL Exhibition Reception: JCDS Emerging Artists Program

  • Leawood Pioneer Library 4700 Town Center Drive Leawood, KS, 66211 United States (map)

Join the Johnson County Developmental Supports Emerging Artists Program for their “PS, I Love You” exhibition reception at the Leawood Pioneer Library

The JCDS Emerging Artists are a talented group of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The artists create original artwork independently, with support from staff, interns, professional mentors, and volunteer artists. The Emerging Artists earn income from the direct sale of their art at local art shows and other venues.

The relationships that develop between the artists and volunteers is the motivation behind this year’s collaboration for the LOVE theme at the JCL show. This show features many mediums and different interpretations of LOVE. We hope you LOVE the show. Local volunteer artists involved in this collaborative piece are: Bob Gillpatrick, AJ Hoyt, Lee Jost, Michelle Gressel, Luke LeTourneau, and Jennifer Schumacher.

Exhibition Runs: Saturday, January 9, 2016 to Sunday, May 15, 2016
