Resilience 

 This drop in group is designed as a creative outlet for people who have served and are serving in the US Armed Forces. These art sessions will offer participants a gentle opportunity to explore the “stuff” that is hard to talk about related to military service and post deployment life. These groups are free of charge, and no art background is necessary for participation.

With a partnership between InterUrban ArtHouse and Operation Art, these sessions will be co led by art therapist, Sherri Jacobs, MS, LMFT, MA, ATR, and artists, Ada Koch and Sydney Pener.

Resilience can be a pretty loaded word, placing undo pressure, and high expectations on folks who don’t have the tools to be resilient. This session will explore some simple techniques for stress reduction and pair these tools with metal work/jewelry making to create an amulet for oneself. No art experience necessary for participation!
