Please join us for an interactive, experiential workshop where we will create mandalas to explore the power of being present with our intense emotions.

In this three hour workshop we will:

  • Create a strong, safe container to hold you and your emotions.

  • Use the process of creating the mandala to explore the emotions.

  • Dialog/engage with the mandala to receive the wisdom that is there.

In this process art experience, we will use grounding activities, guided visualization, ceremony and group discussion to explore the wisdom our emotions have for us.

In this time of intense emotion, we would like to offer a safe space to explore the potential gifts in strong emotions, and plant the seeds of our intentions for the spring coming and beyond.

About your facilitators

Maureen Marhayla Mischinksi is a shamanic energy practitioner, healer, teacher, blessing giver, stone reader and ceremony leader. She is a graduate of the Four Winds Healing the Light Body School, has studied directly with shamans in Peru, and has studied with teachers of core shamanism. She has a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology. She is also a student of Healing Touch, a mother of four children. Maureen is currently working on a handbook about healing from sexual trauma.

Kathy Malone is a mandala artist who creates for the joy it brings her, and the healing properties of art.  She began creating mandalas during a difficult time, and the process became a way of coping with her emotions and increasing self-knowledge. Kathy says, “My mandalas allow me to process emotions, and let them go.  My art is always there for me, a constant support, inviting me to reconnect with my best self and begin again” Sharing mandalas with other people has become a large part of her process.  She teaches classes and workshops for groups and individuals creating mandala art. Kathy also works as a Licensed Professional Counselor leading groups and counseling individuals focusing on betrayal trauma and sexual addiction.
