Please join Art Heals for monthly drop in sessions designed for caregivers and their loved ones dealing with issues related to aging and memory loss. Each session will offer an art history lesson relating to a specific artist, and an opportunity to create art relating to the featured artist. These sessions do not require any previous art experience. Art therapist, Sheri Jacobs has worked as an art therapist with the elderly population for twenty years.

$10.00 cover charge per person to cover costs of materials.

Known as the “Mother of American Modernism,” Georgia O’Keefe was one of the few female painters to transcend into fame and notoriety. Much of her work relates to the American Southwest. Today’s session will explore her life and art. Participants will create paintings in an “O’Keefe” style.
