Grump Meter
This drop in group is designed as a creative outlet for people who have served and are serving in the US Armed Forces. These art sessions will offer participants a gentle opportunity to explore the “stuff” that is hard to talk about related to military service and post deployment life. These groups are free of charge, and no art background is necessary for participation.
With a partnership between InterUrban ArtHouse and Operation Art, these sessions will be co led by art therapist, Sherri Jacobs, MS, LMFT, MA, ATR, and artists, Ada Koch and Sydney Pener.
Anger is a complex emotion, and appears to be a popular souvenir that soldiers bring back from deployment. This session will introduce participants (and their family members) to a simple but effective anger management tool, known as the Grump Meter. Created locally, this simple but profound tool has impacted thousands of people in a positive way. No art experience necessary for participation!
