This exhibition is in partnership with the Gift of Troost Collective, a group of Kansas City Black artists, as well as Black artists from around the Kansas City area. Join us for a Juneteenth opening reception.

“Let Me Introduce Myself” invites Black artists to select up to 3 individual words that describe them and chow work that represents each of those words. Together, the works form a visual introduction—authentic, personal, and reflective of the diversity and power within The Gift of Troost and among Black artists in our area.

This exhibition is more than a showcase—it is a statement.
A chance for us to define ourselves, our work, and our impact on our own terms, and to introduce Kansas City to the collective as a unified creative force.

The show opens June 19th and closes July 17th, but will be up through July 30th 2026.
