Beginning Sewing

Bring your sewing machine, whether you know how to use it or not!  Ruby Lindell will help you understand and use your machine, and you will complete a fun sewing project, too!  Students can choose between making a zipper bag, tote bag, or both!  Bring your own ½ yard of cotton fabric and a zipper (for zipper bag only) or choose from materials provided in class (limited quantity).

During or after class, feel free to share your opinions with Ruby about what you would be interested in learning more about in future classes!  All ages welcome!

Ruby Tuesday Lindell

Ruby is a seamstress/tailor in Kansas City, MO. Her alterations career began in 2006 and she has worked at many alterations shops in the Kansas City area since.  Currently she alters men’s clothing at Jos. A. Bank downtown, wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses for The Gown Gallery, and freelance work, including custom clothing.  She has experience teaching beginning and intermediate sewing classes for all ages and is passionate about passing along her sewing knowledge!  One of her goals is to help train the next generation of professional seamstresses/tailors!
