Joy Zimmerman is a soulful singer-songwriter known for compelling vocals, award-winning songwriting and engaging performances. A multi-instrumentalist, Joy performs solo, in a duo and with a full band. Her eclectic music began with violin lessons before kindergarten and evolved by adding guitar and songwriting. Born with a tooth on Shakespeare's 400th birthday, Joy feels lucky to have discovered her singing and songwriting voice.

Joy has five albums of original music -- two recorded and co-produced with Jimmy Dykes at Weights and Measures Soundlab in Kansas City and three others recorded at Azalea Studios in Nashville. Joy's songwriting awards include an American Songwriter Lyric Contest Honorable Mention and five Walnut Valley Festival New Song Showcase wins.

Hooked by the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show when he was eight, Jimmy Dykes was performing professionally by the age of ten and was most notably playing with local and regional act Solar Eclipse whose penchant was soul funk and R&B. While not limited to any genre, blues, soul funk, R&B and Jazz have always been home.

Jimmy has played in many bands over the years: JT Cook, SDI (Strategic Dance Initiative), Baby Leroy, Blue Riddim Band, Hot House, Thirsty and the Water Boys and has performed with many major artists, including Isaac Hayes, Mike Finnegan, Rufas Thomas, Percy Sledge, and toured internationally with Oleta Adams for 17 years.
