Victorian Crazy Quilting

Sherry Whetstone, Textile Artist/ Instructor is teaching Victorian Crazy Quilting at the Interurban Arthouse. The class is on May 25th from 10:30 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

The first two hours of this five hour workshop will be dedicated to creating a 10” block that incorporates beautiful luxurious fabrics like velvets, silks, satins and fancy cottons too!

During the second half of class, participants will fill the block with fun embellishments and creative embroidery stitches.

Sherry will demonstrate basic embroidery stitches, simple beading techniques and attaching fun trinkets to your crazy quilt block.

This is a fun way to turn those old ties and thrift store prom dresses into something eye catching and beautiful.

Intermediate sewing level suggested. Select fabrics and basic sewing notions can be purchased locally.  I will also have a few fabric packets for sale. Sherry will provide the 10” foundation block for class.
